34. The Jarwa | Beyond the Firmament: Tales From the Cosmos

Beyond The Firmament

Tales From The Cosmos

34. The Jarwa

- Written by Gift C Enyadike Jr

I have spoken about Jarwa, Heavenly Hosts who had sought Da Vaada's favour and blessing for the worlds he had given them, by giving these worlds back to him, so that their peoples could have a place in his kingdom. The few who succeeded among the many who attempted.

I have not introduced you to any of them yet, have I? Or their peoples, for that matter. Very well. I shall tell you of six. Maybe you'll learn about the rest at some point or another; maybe you won't. Sorry, that's just the way it is.

The first is Faatura, perceived by mortals as a living spire of fire and water, hence his name, literally Fire Water. He lords over a small terrestrial world known as Ihri (Ash), so named for its innumerable volcanoes, stark white landmasses and boiling oceans.

The second is Lutoro (veiled), perceived by mortals as an eight-armed face hidden by glowing white silk, hence her name. She rules what was once known as the ninth planet of your solar system.

The third is Dioretaar (The Executioner), perceived by mortals as a living suit of armour, a knight with a blue flaming head. Like Diohlatas, he was an arbiter of justice and a champion of righteous causes to an even harsher degree, now exclusively tied to his world, Zul (Blue), an Earth-like planet with a higher concentration of pure Ozone, which orbits a blue star. What? Celestial beings have favourite colours too.

The fourth is Karmisi (Crimson), a being of pure red light. This was not always her name, but it is one given to her after her people's sin, something we will talk about later. She rules a rogue planet rich in plasma, also known as Karmisi. This too, was not always its name.

The fifth is Stopuus (Relaxed). She was so named because she was seemingly void of any anger, the polar opposite of my Titaness. One could even describe her as... chill. She rules... Actually, she IS one of the now perpetually frozen moons of the fifth and largest planet in your solar system.

The sixth is Qlanik (Clarity), a being of great wisdom and long locks of platinum hair, the only part of him visible to mortal eyes, long tendrils reaching down and touching the surface of the mind. He rules over a purple gas giant orbiting two stars named Ipómatus (Infinity).
