Ta'ani (Ta-HA-nee), one of Da Vaada's celestial titans, was granted omnipotence over a single solar system of lifeless planets as a reward for her millennia of service to him. She chose the third one from the sun: Morcadia, and gave it life.
She had many enemies in the eternal war between Udamu (Heaven) and Pla'daali (Hell). The planet faced many threats, so she created what would become its dominant species, the Ta'iwao (Prodigials). The environment was filled with beautiful, yet harsh biomes, rich with dangers of the natural and supernatural.
They were a race of warrior giants whose strength and spirituality allowed them to conquer their world and build mighty kingdoms. Ta'ani would host a tournament, called Ijaara, between the kingdoms and tribes, in which she would grant a fraction of her power to a champion that would battle alongside her. The champions were called Fi'oran (Apostle).
But the harsh world and their own lust for combat and strength made the Ta'iwao cruel and arrogant, constantly warring with each other, subjugating or shunning the weak.
One day a champion, who would be her last for centuries, attempted to usurp her. Offended by such blasphemy she stripped him and refused to choose another, going into dormancy and leaving the planet's inhabitants to fend for themselves. With the aid of sorcery, they created false champions in place of the Fi'oran. Ones that could be controlled by politicians and zealots.
Recently, a lowly village girl by the name of Zo'i-la Avradoll started showing traits identical to the Fi'oran. After all this time, Ta'ani has awakened with a new champion, in a world that has repeatedly blasphemed against her and more importantly, Da Vaada.
Have mercy on them, for they are still your children.
