About the Project:

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated beta readers for "Sanguijuela," a forthcoming Gothic Horror novel set for an October 2025 release to coincide with Halloween. "Sanguijuela" is a dark and unsettling journey that blends elements of road trip horror, vampiric folklore and cosmic terror. Basically, it's Dracula meets The Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets The Dunwich Horror.

The story delves deep into psychological dread, monstrous family dynamics and the profound, scarring impact of trauma.

Content Warning: Please be advised that "Sanguijuela" contains graphic themes of violence and sexual assault, which are integral to its horror narrative.

The Role: As a Beta Reader, you will be crucial in refining an early draft of "Sanguijuela." Your honest and constructive feedback will directly influence the final version of the novel. We are looking for detailed insights on:

Pacing and Plot Coherence
Character Development and Consistency
World-building and thematic depth
Emotional impact and overall readability
Specific reactions to horror elements and mature themes

Key Responsibilities:

Read the entire manuscript of "Sanguijuela" (approx. 290 pages).
Provide comprehensive and constructive feedback by the stated deadline.
Communicate openly and professionally regarding your progress and insights.

Important Dates:

Notification of Acceptance: June 30, 2025
Manuscript Delivery: July 7, 2025
