22. Big Sister and Her Baby
- Written by Gift C Enyadike Jr
Grubass was a dangerous nuisance, but in small doses, he was amusing. Yes, my Acolytes, Da Vaada does indeed have a sense of humour. I mean, just look at such creatures as your platypus. Far be it from one such as me to assume his will, but there is a strong suspicion that he was just having fun with that one.
Where he acted out due to, if you can believe it, boredom, SHE came to lay claim to our universe as the TRUE First Born. We who know jokingly refer to her as Soragna (Big Sister), though I would strongly advise you against speaking that name too often, lest you find her in your sleep.
Her supposed "proof" of eldership was her own child, a hideous creature whose essence could poison our reality if left unabated.
Da Vaada took the child and turned its gaze to its mother. It had never beheld her before and would have cried, but she had given it no mouth with which to do so.
He spared the child by making it sleep and laying it to rest within Kurisstac. Soragna had no choice but to follow and was trapped there as well. To this day, she enters her child's dreams, desperately forcing it to awake. Every time it does, it returns to its dream:
A universe where it does not have to witness her.
